Deane Bozeman School’s FFA program is heading into the new school year with plenty to celebrate after earning an impressive collection of national honors for both its middle and high school chapters.

From prestigious chapter designations to national finalists and individual student recognition, Bozeman FFA continues to establish itself among the top FFA programs in Florida and across the country.

Both Deane Bozeman FFA and Deane Bozeman Middle FFA earned the prestigious Three-Star Chapter designation, the highest rating awarded through the National FFA Chapter Award Program. The designation recognizes chapters that excel in developing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture.

Even more impressive, Bozeman is making Florida FFA history.

Deane Bozeman High School was named a Top 10 National Premier Chapter finalist in Growing Leaders, while Deane Bozeman Middle School earned Top 10 National Premier Chapter finalist honors in two categories: Building Communities and Strengthening Agriculture.

With Bozeman represented in all three Premier Chapter divisions, the school joins an elite group. Only three schools in the history of Florida FFA have been in the running for Premier Chapter awards in all three divisions.

Individual Bozeman students are also earning national recognition.

Presley Kent has been named a Top Four National Finalist in Agricultural Processing, placing her among the very best FFA members in the country in her area of competition.

Kayli Commander and Hannah Buchenhorst also earned a Bronze ranking at the national level in Plant Systems through the FFA Agriscience Fair. Florida FFA's published recognition includes the Bozeman students among its national honorees.

The accomplishments are the latest in a long tradition of excellence for Bozeman's agriculture education and FFA programs. Through hands-on learning, leadership development, community service and competition, students are gaining experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.

Now, they'll have another opportunity to represent Deane Bozeman School, Bay District Schools and the state of Florida on the national stage.
